LAFAYETTE, LA — Jury selection is underway for a man accused of killing a State Trooper in 2015.
Kevin Daigle was indicted in the 14th Judicial District in Lake Charles, but the court granted him a change of venue and his jury selection will be here in Lafayette.
Daigle is accused of killing Trooper Steven Vincent after he stopped to help Daigle, whose truck was stuck in a ditch. The trial is expected to last two to three weeks and the state is seeking the death penalty.
