The Duson Police Department says that three suspects have been arrested in connection with a series of residential burglaries.

An investigation began on December 31 after officers say they received a call regarding a burglary in the 800 block of Third Street.

The unknown suspects reportedly removed clothing, small appliances and electronics from the residence.

A second residential burglary occurred on January 1 in the 600 block of First Street.

There, police say the suspects forced entry into the home and removed guns, clothing, computers and cell phones.

A local resident reportedly told police that he observed the same man entering both homes during the time of the burglaries.

That suspect was identified by police as 21-year-old Adam Bourque of Duson.

Police say Bourque was questioned and allegedly confessed to burglarizing the homes. He also allegedly provided information on a third burglary which occurred in the 500 block of Second Street.

During questioning, police say Bourque allegedly identified 36-year-old Amanda Dugas and 19-year-old Devon Dogay, both of Duson, as accomplices.

Both Dugas and Dogay were questioned and also allegedly confessed to the burglaries.

The three were booked into the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office on the following

  • Adam Bourque - 2 counts of simple burglary of inhabited dwellings
  • Amanda Dugas - 3 counts of simple burglary of inhabited dwellings
  • Devon Dogay - 3 counts of simple burglary of inhabited dwellings

The investigation has uncovered a large amount of stolen property, but police say much is still unaccounted for.

Police ask that anyone who may have purchased laptop computers, guns or other merchandise from the suspects return that property to police.

The department says that those failing to return items may face charges of illegal possession of stolen things.

The suspects may also be connected to several burglaries outside of the city.

Duson Police say two additional were reported in the last seven days in the 700 block of Toby Mouton Road Extension and the 400 block of Toby Mouton Road.
