The Lafayette Parks and Recreation Department held its 68th Annual Turkey Bowl on Saturday and Sunday, November 23 and 24, 2019, at Clark Field. The top two teams from each of the four LPRD Youth Football Leagues played each other to decide which teams were this year’s Parish Champions, according to a new release.
In the 10U Flag Football League All-Stars Championship game, the Cajun Sports Association Satriots team defeated the Cajun Sports Association Bulldogs team 19 to 13.
In the Niner (9 year olds) League Championship game, the Cajun Sports Association team defeated the Carencro Area Youth Sports, Inc. team 2 to 0.
In the Mite (9 and 10 year olds) League Championship game, the Brown Park Athletics team defeated the Cajun Sports Association team 19 to13.
In the Junior (10 and 11 year olds) League Championship game, the Scott Area Team Sports team defeated the Brown Park Athletics team 19 to 7.
Proceeds from concessions for the event went to the Lafayette Kiwanis Club.
