LAFAYETTE, La. — TAO Asian Cuisine off Ambassador Caffery Parkway in Lafayette announced Friday it would close its restaurant until further notice after one of its employees tested positive for COVID-19.
According to a post on its Facebook page, the restaurant states that it recently learned that one of its team members has tested positive for COVID19 and that employee's last day worked was two days before being symptomatic.
"Keeping our community and team’s health is our first priority, we’ve decided to close until further notice," the post reads. "Though, it’s only one team member that tested positive, now in isolation, we want to insure we are doing all we can on flattening the curve."
TAO adds that its staff will use the time off to self-quarantine and get tested as the restaurant undergoes another thorough sanitation for extra precaution.
TAO sates that it will evaluate its reopening and follow closely as state and health officials announces the new phases for the upcoming weeks.
