SCOTT, La. — Students at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic School are celebrating the nation during Catholic Schools Week by honoring local soldiers currently serving in Iraq with letters.

According to a release from the school, students are celebrating Catholic Schools Week with the theme of "Our Magic Kingdom."

Wednesday marks Toy Story Day - Celebrating the Nation, and the school says students are dressed in camouflage and will be writing letters to local soldiers currently serving in Iraq. The cards will be given to Acadiana Dodge as part of their Cram the Ram initiative.

Plastic toy soldiers will be given to each student as a reminder to pray for our soldiers, the release states. Students have brought framed pictures of soldiers to school and they are displayed in the school chapel. They will then pray the St. Michael prayer for their protection.
