State Police confirm with KATC that the person arrested in connection with Tuesday morning's vehicle pursuit on I-49 is 41-year-old Travis Duran Sinegal.
Sinegal was booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center on multiple charges, including Aggravated Flight from an Officer, Aggravated Assault with a Motor Vehicle Upon a Peace Officer, and four warrants out of Acadia Parish.
State Police say the pursuit ended near the I-49 exit 7 on-ramp (Hwy 182). State Police couldn't confirm any other details of what led to the pursuit, but did say it began with Sinegal committing a traffic violation.
Local police and parish units assisted with the incident.
