St. Joseph Diner in Lafayette in search of volunteers

St. Joseph Diner is requesting volunteers to help in food preparation, packaging and distribution.

The volunteers are needed to assist Catholic Charities of Acadiana and Second Harvest Food Bank with their continued efforts to provide food relief to local community members most in need.

Anyone interested in volunteering can go online to catholiccharitiesacadiana.org to view available shifts.

According to Catholic Charities, a total of 30 volunteers are needed each day, Monday through Friday. 15 will work the morning shift and the other 15 will work an afternoon shift.

Volunteers will assist kitchen staff with food and meal prep, packing foods and meals, delivery, cleaning, sweeping, and washing.
