SLCC to offer free online OSHA training courses

South Louisiana Community College’s Corporate College Division is offering free online training courses for OSHA-10 General and OSHA-10 Construction.

The courses will be free for the first 150 people who register, according to the college.

SLCC says that the OSHA-10 General training is ideal for those who work in healthcare, manufacturing, or warehousing. The training provides awareness of recognizing and preventing hazards on a general industry site. To register for this course, visit

The college's OSHA-10 Construction training is geared towards those in building development and construction. In this course, you will learn about recognition, avoidance, abatement and prevention of safety and health hazards in the workplace. To register for this course, visit

SLCC says that the online OSHA courses are self-paced and include 10 hours of instruction.

Those interested in taking the courses can sign up online. There are no registration or textbook fees.
