LAFAYETTE, La. - On Friday, Sen. John Kennedy (R-La.) was a substitute teacher at Paul Breaux Middle in Lafayette.
Sen. Kennedy substitutes two to three times a year at different schools.
Kennedy appreciates the job that educators do and was impressed by the students.
"The kids I taught today are just smart, well behaved you don't always see that," said Kennedy. "Discipline in the classroom is a challenge for many of our teachers. Not all schools are as good as Paul Breaux. It's just a fact. I wish they were, but these kids are great , funny, and smart."
