SCOTT, La. — The Scott Fire Chief has been selected to be inducted into the Louisiana Fire Chief Hall of Fame.
Chief Chad Sonnier was presented with a plaque on Monday followed by a presentation at the fire station.
According to the Louisiana First Responders Christian Association, they select applications of individuals recommending a first responder that is a leader in their community or state to be nominated for this achievement award. They also provide a $500 grant, in that person's name, to a youth in the state between the ages of 10 and 18 years of age.
A presentation for Sonnier will be held on November 5, 2020 at the monthly city council meeting which begins at 6:00 pm.
