The City of Scott says that the boil water advisory issued for water customers has been rescinded.

Officials say that water pressure has been restored within the water supply system to the minimum required level.

Water was tested by the Louisiana Department of Health and was found to be negative for coliform bacteria.

The boil advisory, which was issued as a precaution after a water main was broken on Thursday, October 22, has now been rescinded.

The city says that water is now safe for consumption.
