and last updated

On December 20, Santa Claus will parade through Scott aboard a Scott Fire Department fire engine.

The man in red will be escorted by the Scott Police Department and make his way through residential neighborhoods to wave at the children and residents of the city.

The fire department say there will be limited stopping and that Santa will remain on top of the fire engine to help with social distancing.

Good boys and girls can keep up with Santa's ride through the city by watching the fire department's live stream on Facebook. There, the department will give updates on his current location and where he's headed next.

The event begins at 1:00 pm.

The fire department says that Santa may not be able to make it everywhere in town.

Those unable to see Santa pass by can head to the Super 1 Foods or Acadiana High School where Santa will make two special stops.
