Students, parents and loved ones are remembering Michelle Suire this week after the S.J. Montgomery Elementary teacher died from complications of the novel coronavirus.
Her family confirmed to our media partners at The Advocate that Suire died of COVID-19.
Suire, 53, worked with first- through third-graders as a special education teacher, according to the school's website.
