Lafayette Consolidated Government says that the Dean Domingues Compost Facility located at 400 Dugas Road (off North University Avenue) will close for yard waste drop off.
The closure, according to LCG, is due to specialized equipment needing maintenance.
The maintenance will affect the facility’s ability to accept and process its usual volume of yard waste.
The facility is expected to reopen for drop off services by the end of the month.
LCG says compost will continue to be offered to residents at no charge.
