The registration period for the Lafayette Parks and Recreation Department's Youth Baseball and Softball programs is underway.
Registration began on Saturday, February 15 and will continue until Sunday, March 1, 2020.
Baseball is offered to youth aged 5 to 14 (based on age as of August 31, 2020) and softball to youth aged 7 to 17 (based on age as of December 31, 2019).
Six parish Youth Associations will begin registering members for the year. The associations include: BPA (Brown Park Athletics), CSA (Cajun Sports Association), CAYSI (Carencro Area Youth Sports, Inc.), SATS (Scott Area Team Sports), SLYSI (Southwest Lafayette Youth Sports, Inc.), and SWA (Southwest Athletics). Anyone residing in the former BYYA (Broussard/Youngsville Youth Association) zone must register with CSA.
