On Halloween, Foster the Love Louisiana will hold their inaugural RUN. LOVE. ADOPT 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run in Lafayette.
The event begins at 8:00 am on Saturday, October 31 in the square at River Ranch.
Organizers say the run will feature fun jumps, jambalaya and music. Runners are encouraged to dress up to be entered into a costume contest.
The Louisiana Heart Gallery will be on hand to answer any questions about adopting children who are adoption eligible.
There will also be car seat installation demonstrations by Buckle Up Louisiana.
Awards for top runners and best costume will be handed out following the race.
