LAFAYETTE, La. - Radio stations at Townsquare Media are participating in the St. Jude Radiothon on Thursday and Friday.
This event asks for donations that go towards the children hospital.
Although the disease creates stress for the families event participants say the financial burden is relieved.
"They go there they get the treatment and don't really have to worry about the stress, financial stress," said Rob Kirkpatrick, Brand Manager at KPEL 96.5. "Of course you're gonna have stress because your child has cancer but the financial stress of this disease is non-existent at St. Jude."
