Some Laura evacuees living in New Orleans now have more of the essentials they need, thanks to a Lafayette ministry.
Queendom Ministries delivered more than 250 gently used purses filled with toiletries to the Morial Convention Center Friday.
Organizers say the Lafayette community's response to this project has been overwhelming.
Lisa Lazard, minister at Queendom Ministries, is thankful to help those in the area and "to put a smile, to be a blessing."
