LAFAYETTE, La. - Adults who want to complete their high school education are getting a second chance.
The High School Equivalency Test (HISET) program, formerly known as GED, started Monday, September 23, at the Progressive Community Outreach Center in Lafayette and it's not just a certificate students leave with at the end of the course.
"The students that graduate at the end of the program and what they're talking about they went through they're reading now they're doing better at math, they're doing better at work, they don't have that feeling of insignificance it's an awesome feeling and we love it," said Sarah West, Interim Director of Progressive Community Outreach Center.
