Professional athletes with local ties are returning home next weekend to encourage Acadiana's kids.
On August 10 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Devery Henderson, Clarence Verdin Lloyd Mumphord and Hollis Conway will be at the Robicheaux Center talking about leadership.
They will speak to youth about being a leader.
"This program again will be to talk to our young people and talk to their parents, and these athletes will tell the audience about how successful and how sports played a big part in them being successful of the field," said Recreational Supervisor Walter Guillory.
