Lafayette Parish School System officials say they are looking into the charges against the principal of the W.D. Smith Career Center.
Ralph Thibodeaux was arrested over the weekend and is facing an OWI charge and two counts of hit and run.
State Police say Thibodeaux hit a total of three vehicles, and lost one of the tires on his truck in the process. He allegedly continued to flee from the scene. Troopers say that after being located and placed under arrest Thibodeaux allegedly denied hitting anything.
