Prejean's Restaurant in Lafayette will be closing temporarily after an employee tested positive for COVID-19, owner Bud Guilbeau announced on Facebook Tuesday.

According to the post, the restaurant will be using the remainder of Tuesday and Wednesday to completely sanitize the facility.

Prejean's dining room will also be closed from Thursday, June 25, to Sunday, June 28, out of an abundance of caution. The entire menu will be offered from takeout Thursday-Saturday from 10:30 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. and Sunday from 10:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

"Every team member here at Prejean's is beyond grateful for all the support the community has shown us these past two weeks! We can't wait to see and serve you again," said Guilbeau.
