Lafayette Utilities System says power has been restored after a lightning strike left some Lafayette residents in the dark.
According to LUS, lightning struck an insulator this morning on Guilbeau Road.
The strike caused a power to go out in the area along Ambassador Caffery from Guilbeau to William O. Stutes Street.
Crews were on scene working to bring power back to those affected.

Power has now been restored.
