Lafayette Police say they found no evidence of an alleged sexual crime at a local shelter following their investigation.
Police say that on September 19, 2019, they responded to a local shelter in reference to allegations of a sexual crime occurring on the property. An investigation was initiated by Lafayette Police Criminal Investigations Division immediately following the claim.
Accoridng to officials, the investigation has revealed no evidence that a crime occurred at the shelter. No arrests have been made.
The investigation is complete.
