Pet advocates in Acadiana are asking for the community to consider making a donation to the pet food bank in Lafayette during COVID-19.

The Pet Food Pantry, a division of FoodNet Food Bank in Lafayette, is in need of food donations, according to Acadiana Animal Aid's Jeanine Foucher.

The food bank, she says, is a vital resource for many pet owners in the parish.

An essential need for the pantry, at this time, is dry cat food.

The pantry posted to their Facebook page asking for the community to consider donating.

Anyone who is able to make a donation can do so by having items shipped or delivered to the pet food pantry on W. University in Lafayette.
