The people of Scott today did what they could to give their children a "normal" Easter.

First, the Easter Bunny was escorted around town by the Scott Fire Department and the Scott Police Department.

Here's some video:

Later on Sunday, the Scott Business Association hosted a virtual Easter egg hunt.

Last week, the group asked residents and business members to color and decorate an Easter egg about the size of a sheet of paper and place it in the window or their door Sunday.

Beginning at 1 PM, families with children could travel by car and drive, ride bikes, or walk around neighborhoods in the City of Scott and the surrounding areas looking for and counting how many Easter eggs they find.

There was one official GOLDEN EGG located somewhere within the city limits of Scott.

Chad and Kelly Sonnier with Chadmat Safety Systems donated three gift cards to the first three children that took a selfie with the GOLDEN EGG and posted it on the Scott Business Association Facebook public page.
