Pastors in Lafayette are asking the community to come together in unity for an evening of prayer and peace.
Pastor Charles Banks with Fellowship Full Gospel Ministers says that following the incidents in Lafayette concerning police brutality and social justice, it is time to talk with the community.
On Sunday, September 13, 2020, Banks is inviting the public to join in prayer to reunify Lafayette. The gathering will take place at the Northgate Mall parking lot starting at 6:00 pm..
Speakers, including pastors from several denominations and Trayford Pellerin's mother are expected to speak on the ongoing protests and the protection of the community.
Banks says the event is about unity.
