There's only one day left to get your "Feed the Envie" t-shirt.

The Feed the Envie campaign was created shortly after the effects of the COVID-19 related stay-at-home order were starting to be felt in the area.

United Way of Acadiana and EatLafayette by Lafayette Travel teamed up with Talk-N-T Shirts and Coca-Cola to design and sell a shirt to raise funds for this impacted segment of our population.

All net proceeds from sales of the shirt have built the Feed the Envie Fund.

“These workers are the face of our hospitality and tourism industry and we understand that they need help now. We want to thank our sponsors and everyone who has purchased a shirt so far, and we are making one last push to encourage the public to contribute to this meaningful cause.” says Lafayette Travel President and CEO Ben Berthelot.

United Way of Acadiana has opened the applications for hospitality workers from Lafayette parish who were employed by locally-owned restaurants and hotels and have been economically impacted by the recent pandemic.

“We’ve made the application process simple for the workers who need help. Proof of employment and identification, as well as past tax forms, are all that these restaurant and hotel workers need to submit. The online form is live now and paper copies are also accepted at the United Way of Acadiana office,” states Carlee Alm-LaBar, President/CEO of United Way of Acadiana.

The Feed the Envie Fund will accept applications until May 8th from workers who worked a minimum of 32 hours per week before March 13th, 2020.

The online form can be found at https://bit.ly/3eZ8lj3.

The specially designed shirts can be purchased at (https://stores.inksoft.com/feed_the_envie/shop/home) until May 1st only.
