Three people were found dead at a home in Zachary on Wednesday in what police suspect was a murder-suicide. One of the victims identified today is from Lafayette.
On Thursday, Zachary Police Chief David McDavid identified the victims as Deborah Watts Ross, 48, of Baton Rouge; Beverly Watts, 48, of Lafayette; and James Brannon, 77, who is identified as the suspected shooter.
The chief also says the investigation is ongoing, and that officers learned through family members the victim’s mother and suspected shooters wife had passed away on Tuesday at the residence.
