SCOTT, La. — In Lafayette Parish, one man is under arrest following a shooting in the 900 block of Janvier Road, according to Valerie Ponseti, Public Information Officer.
Lafayette Parish Sheriff's deputies were called to a location near the intersection of Whitmore and Janvier roads yesterday afternoon.
61-year-old James McMillian was arrested Tuesday in relation to the shooting that left a 23-year-old man injured. McMillian is charged with Attempted Second-Degree Murder and Illegal Carrying of a Weapon, authorities say.
