Lafayette Police are currently at the scene of a shooting in downtown Lafayette.
Spokesperson for the police department Sergeant Wayne Griffin says that officers are at the scene at the intersection of Johnston Street and Garfield.
The shooting happened at around 11:40 a.m.
The suspect fled the area and one victim was taken to a local hospital with injuries to the lower torso.
