The Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office says that one person was transported to a hospital following a single vehicle crash on Bayou Tortue Road.
The incident happened in the 590 block of the roadway on Monday afternoon after the driver of the vehicle ran off the road. The condition of the driver was not given but deputies say that person was seriously injured
No others were inside the vehicle.
Bayou Tortue was blocked starting at its intersection with La Flamme to the 520 block of Bayou Tortue while law enforcement were on scene.
