One person has died and another is injured in a shooting that happened near Scott.
Lafayette Parish Sheriff's deputies were called to the 100 block of Burrow Street at about 5:30 p.m. Sunday, a spokesman said.
Deputies found two people injured with gunshot wounds; one died on the way to the hospital and the other is getting medical attention, the spokesman said.
The incident was domestic in nature, and both people involved lived at the home, he said.
Deputies are not releasing identities yet and the investigation is continuing, he said.
