A Lafayette man and two juveniles have been arrested in connection with a shooting that happened early Monday.
Police were called to the 100 block of West Foch Street at about 1 a.m. after witnesses reported shots fired.
Officers found spent casings in the road, and then learned that a victim had been transported to the hospital prior to their arrival.
The investigation revealed that a group of people went to the area and began shooting at group that already was there. The second group returned fire, and then the first group drove away, police say.
Daniel Davis IV, 20, of Lafayette, was booked with five counts of Attempted Second Degree Murder.
Two juveniles were also arrested; one was booked with three counts attempted Second Degree Murder and Possession of a Stole Firearm. The second juvenile was arrested for Accessory after the Fact. Both juveniles were booked into the Lafayette Juvenile Detention Center.
The investigation is continuing, police say.
