UPDATE: Students, staff and faculty are back in class after being evacuated this morning from Northside High School in Lafayette.
Police say a threat against the school was posted on social media. The evacuation was done to ensure everyone is safe while police and K9 teams search the school.
The school was cleared and everyone was allowed back inside.
A Lafayette Police spokesperson told us detectives now are investigating the Instagram post to find the suspect. She said a student saw the threat on Instagram and reported it to school officials.
