No one was injured in a residential fire in Carencro Monday afternoon, according to Fire Chief David Mouton.

The Carencro Fire Department responded, along with Lafayette, Scott, and Duson Fire Departments, to a residential fire in the 100 block of Linares Street in Lafayette Parish Saturday.

Firefighters arrived on scene to find fire in the back corner bedroom, which had already traveled to the attic.

The fire in the attic caused significant damage to the structure, causing the roof to collapse.

All occupants were able to get out safely; the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
