New mobile library traveling around to Lafayette Library locations

A mobile library is making its way around Lafayette this week.

The Lafayette Public Library's bookmobile will be traveling to parish library locations to give tours to the public. The new mobile branch gives patrons the opportunity to explore and check out items.

Below are a list of dates and locations where the mobile branch will be stationed this week.

Tuesday, September 3

10:00 am - 12:00 pm • West Regional Library

2:00 - 3:00 pm • North Regional Library

4:00 - 5:30 pm • Main Library

Wednesday, September 4

2:00 - 3:00 pm • East Regional Library

4:00 - 5:30 pm • South Regional Library

Thursday, September 5

2:00 - 3:00 pm • Chenier Branch

4:00 - 5:30 pm • Butler Branch

Friday, September 6

10:00 am - 12:00 pm • Milton Branch

According to the Lafayette Public Library, the GoGo Biblio Bookmobile is 32 feet long, ADA-compliant, and outfitted with a mobile hotspot. The vehicle is stocked with a diverse collection of books, DVDs and audiobooks available to check out as part of its outreach services.

It allows the Library to step up service to all Lafayette Parish residents outside of its nine bricks-and-mortar locations. For more information about the Library's Outreach Services department or to request a visit from the bookmobile, visit LafayettePublicLibrary.org/outreach.
