Moncus Park opening delayed until 2021; reveals Phase 1 progress

Lafayette's Moncus Park will not open until next year. Construction will enter Phase Two at the end of the year.

On Wednesday, stakeholders and members of the community were shown the progress from Phase One and the plans for what's to come.

"We are excited because so many more things will be in the park for families to enjoy at this point we have a beautiful lake, lots of landscaping, lots of trails and a dog park, but with all the play features, the ampitheatre, and the Veterans Memorial, the park will feel so much more complete and give the community a better first impression of what this park is all about," said Elizabeth Brooks, Executive Director of Moncus Park.
