McComb-Veazey is hosting its 2019 annual meeting on Saturday, July 20. The event will also include an open house to allow people to see what work is happening in the neighborhood, give feedback, and get a sneak peek of the Community House.
The event lasts from 12:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. and the house is located at 421 12th St. in Lafayette.
The Community House is created by the McComb Veazey Neighborhood Coterie in partnership with Lafayette Habitat for Humanity, Project Front Yard, and UL Lafayette School of Architecture and Design.
The intent is to create a place where all residents will reap the benefits of beautifying the area and improving the quality of life of the local community.
The House will also be used as a meeting space for the neighborhood, including hosting workshops around small business, financial literacy, health, and safety.
