Alliance Française de Lafayette held its first "Marché de Noël" Fundraiser on Saturday.
Children from local schools including Carencro Heights Elementary, Prairie Elementary, Myrtle Place Elementary and Paul Breaux performed French songs at the Wurst Biergarten.
Saint-Nicolas, "the Belgian Santa", who is traditionally celebrated on December 6th, visited with those at the event.
The Marche de Noel was held in collaboration with the Wurst Biergarten and Arts and Fleas Lafayette.
Alliance Française is a non-profit organization whose mission is to promote the French Language and Culture.
All money raised will help Alliance continue its activities in the future, organizers say.
