The Scott Police Department says they have the identity of a man they say was seen at area residences taking items from carports and patios.

Police identified the suspect as 37-year-old Christopher Anthony Guidroz of Arnaudville. Video surveillance from area residences allegedly showed Guidroz exiting his vehicle, knocking on doors, and taking items from under the carport or back patio of the residences.

Guidroz is then allegedly seen entering his vehicle and leave the area. An arrest warrant has been obtained for Guidroz by Scott Police Department. The Scott Police Department asked the community for help in identifying Guidroz through photos captured of hime during the alleged theft incidents.

In 2018, Guidroz was wanted in similar incidents in the City of Lafayette. In January, Lafayette Police were looking for Guidroz in connection to at least two package thefts during the month of December.

In Spring 2019, Guidroz pleaded guilty to those theft charges in court.

Anyone knowing the whereabouts of Guidroz should contact their local police department or Lafayette Crime Stoppers at 337-232-TIPS.
