Lafayette Police say the 49-year-old man that was hit on Johnston Street Tuesday evening is still in critical condition.
Police responded to the 4500 block of Johnston Street at around 7:30 pm, in reference to a vehicle accident involving a pedestrian. They say the man was attempting to cross the street when he was struck by a vehicle.
He was transported to a local hospital and is currently listed in critical condition.
Impairment is not suspected of the driver of the vehicle, no citations have been issued. Circumstances surrounding the accident are being investigated.
