LAFAYETTE, La. - One man is under arrest after an attempt was made to bring a weapon into the Lafayette Parish Courthouse.
Alan Huval, 51, was arrested and booked into the Lafayette Parish Jail on September 3, 2019, after attempting to enter into the courthouse with a loaded hand gun and additional ammunition in a backpack, according to Valerie Ponseti, Communications Assistant, Public Affairs, Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office.
Huval is charged with illegal carrying of weapons.
No bond has been set at this time.
