During National Apprenticeship week the Louisiana Workforce Commission and Workforce Development Board hosted a Lunch and Learn at the Picard Center.
The free seminar was intended to inform businesses and training providers of what apprenticeship programs entail - the registration process and how the Workforce Commission can assist with the process.
"It is all about earn while you learn, meeting the needs of employers and putting people to work as quickly as we possibly can," said Ava Dejoie, Louisiana Workforce Commission Secretary.
