Parents of middle and high school student in the Lafayette Parish School System are better informed tonight when it comes to issues about student safety in the parish.
The Lafayette Parish School System says they have been working with the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office to provide an educational presentation during school hours for all students regarding threats, terrorizing, bullying and vaping. LPSS superintendent Irma Trosclair said parents soon became interested in the information as well.
"When word got out that an educational series was being developed to be presented to all students in Lafayette Parish, we had a few parents who reached out and expressed an interest in getting that same information," Trosclair explained.
