LPSS has set up an online form so that students and parents can report COVID positives 24 hours a day.
"As a reminder, LPSS requires all students and their parents/guardians to report positive COVID-19 cases. Beginning today, LPSS is implementing a new procedure to more easily report cases. Students should now report all positive cases using a new online COVID-19 Student Reporting Form located on the LPSS website," a release from the system states.
"When visiting the homepage of the LPSS website, students should select the graphic titled COVID-19 Student Reporting Form. This will direct users to a form that will require some basic information needed to establish quarantine dates and for contact tracing to commence," the release states. "Because coronavirus will continue to spread even while school is not in session, this online form will be available 24 hours a day for easy access."
The system urges families to be careful during the holiday.
"We want to once again remind everyone to practice recommended mitigation measures during this holiday season: wearing masks, practicing social distancing, limiting large gatherings, and washing hands. Be mindful when visiting with at-risk and vulnerable populations. These are all small but powerful measures that will help keep our community safe and help bring our students back to school in person in 2021," the release states.
