UPDATE: A woman has been booked with terrorizing in connection with the incident that closed Baranco Elementary today.
Lafayette Parish Sheriff's deputies say they arrested Raylin James, 28, and booked her with terrorizing.
She's accused of making threats against specific students who attend the school, deputies say.
Earlier today, LPSS officials announced that Dr. Raphael Baranco Elementary will be closed Tuesday, August 20.
They said that the school would be open tomorrow.
The elementary school was briefly placed on lock down Monday, August 19, after a domestic dispute referenced the school. School officials decided to cancel classes today while law enforcement conduct their investigation.
LPSS Chief Administrative Officer Jennifer Gardner says it is in the best interest and safety of the students for the school to be closed Tuesday.
The school will reopen on Wednesday, August 21.
