LAFAYETTE, La. — The Lafayette Parish Medical Society Alliance Medical Scholarship Fund is accepting scholarship applications now through Friday, May 29.
The scholarship is funded by the Community Foundation of Acadiana.
According to a release from CFA, eligible applicants must be residents of Lafayette Parish for at least seven years who are currently enrolled in, or entering, a full-time accredited medical school.
All applicants must provide two letters of reference, proof of enrollment and a one-page essay.
Students can visit www.cfacadiana.org/LPMSA to complete the online application.
This scholarship is made possible by contributions from Lafayette Parish Medical Society Alliance members and aims to sustain the future of medicine in Lafayette Parish by providing scholarships to medical students, the release states.
The Lafayette Parish Medical Society Alliance is a nonprofit service organization of physicians and their spouses who are dedicated to advancing the health of Acadiana.
