A woman is dead following a crash on Louisiana Avenue in Lafayette.
Lafayette Police say that on Monday October 12, 2020 at around 6:15 pm, officers responded to a traffic crash in the 1600 Block of Louisiana Avenue.
Investigators say that one vehicle was traveling southbound on Louisiana Avenue, when for unknown reasons it veered into oncoming traffic and struck a second vehicle.
Medical assistance was provided to the three people on scene prior to being transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
One person, a woman, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity has not been released.
An investigation is ongoing. No other details were provided.
