LAFAYETTE — The Lafayette Police Department says they have arrested a man on 17 counts of animal cruelty.
Spokesperson for the Department Corporal Bridgette Dugas tells KATC that the arrest occurred on Broadmoor Boulevard.
Dugas says that Lafayette Animal Control has seized over 25 dogs from a home.
According to recent arrests in Lafayette Parish, 64-year-old Patrick Darcey was arrested on 17 charges of animal cruelty. No bond has been set.
